Rent My Lid is a paid public ranking and a physical placement on the MacBook lid I already use. You may pay to list a website or an X profile on the board. Rank is based on the amount paid. The top 12 ranks at each snapshot get vinyl on that lid for that batch. Listings are paid placements, not editorial reviews, certifications, endorsements, or independent rankings.

A payment buys a place on this site at the rank that amount can take when it is fulfilled, and a chance at lid vinyl if you still hold one of the top 12 ranks at the snapshot. It does not buy traffic, clicks, customers, revenue, exclusive placement, a fixed duration on the lid, search-engine ranking, a set number of videos, or any particular result. Someone else can pay more and outrank you. Each batch runs about 14 days until the snapshot shown on the board. I may change, pause, or discontinue features, including batch length, snapshot dates, and how ranks are assigned.

I work from cafés and coworking spaces while traveling, and I film Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube content with the same MacBook. Your mark may be seen in real life and may appear in that footage. That is incidental. It is not an advertising network buy and not a promise that the lid will be in any given video, café, or frame.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.

If you use the Service for a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company, and "you" includes that company.

You may not use the Service if you are prohibited from receiving services under applicable law, including applicable trade sanctions.

Checkout is processed by Stripe. I do not collect or store full payment-card numbers. Stripe's terms and privacy notice also apply to the payment itself. Amounts are priced in US dollars. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Rank amounts, the floor bid, and what you pay to take a rank are shown before you pay. Completing checkout is an offer to buy ranking placement on those terms. Rank is assigned when payment is confirmed and the listing is written to the board, at whatever position that amount then supports. If you later pay more for the same site or handle, that listing is raised or taken over rather than duplicated.

Every paid listing stays on the public ranking for as long as the Service runs, at whatever rank that amount then supports. Rank 13 and below still show on the board, with their rank number. The top 12 also keep their rank numbers on the board. A listing does not disappear because it missed the lid, because a new batch opened, or because someone paid more.

The lid is only the top 12 at the snapshot. If you were on the lid and later drop out of those 12, I may take the vinyl off. You still keep your listing on the ranking. Leaving the lid is not a refund.

All payments are final and not refundable. Ranking placement is a digital service that begins as soon as payment is confirmed: the listing is created or the rank is raised, and the paid amount is counted on the public board. That listing stays on the board even if you never make the lid, even if you made the lid and later drop off it, and even if your rank moves. Vinyl on the lid, if you still hold a top-12 rank at the snapshot, is extra fulfillment of that same purchase. Being outranked, leaving the lid after you were on it, missing the lid, fewer clicks than you hoped for, less café or video visibility than you hoped for, downtime, travel, or a later removal for breach of these Terms does not create a refund.

By completing checkout you request that I start this digital service immediately and acknowledge that you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period to the extent that law allows that waiver. Where a mandatory consumer right cannot be waived, I honor that right. Chargebacks, payment disputes, or reversed payments without a legally required basis are a breach of these Terms. I may remove the listing and refuse future use of the Service.

You may only list a website or X profile that you own or are authorized to represent. You may give a brand name. If you do not have one, the board and, where the mark has no name, the lid will show your site or handle instead.

I print and apply vinyl myself. I keep final say on artwork, crop, color, size, placement, and print quality. I may refuse, restyle, or delay a mark that will not print, that is too small to read, or that I believe creates legal, safety, or reputational risk. The lid is a machine I use every day. Stickers can fade, scratch, peel, or be replaced. After a batch I may leave them on, reprint, or take them off.

By submitting a URL, @handle, logo, brand name, or payment, you represent and warrant that:

• You have the right to list that destination and to send visitors there.
• The listing, logo, and destination comply with applicable laws, including advertising, consumer, privacy, intellectual-property, and regulated-industry rules.
• You are not impersonating another person, brand, or company, and you are not claiming a rank for a competitor's site or profile without authorization.
• The destination is not malware, phishing, a scam, or a site whose primary purpose is to deceive visitors.
• The information you submit is accurate, and you will keep it accurate.

You may not list or use the Service for:

• Sexual, pornographic, or adult-platform content; chat, invite, or messaging-group links; or link shorteners used to hide the real destination.
• Content that is illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful, violent, or that exploits children.
• Counterfeit goods, unauthorized streaming, or other infringement of copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Offers that require licenses you do not have, including certain financial, medical, gambling, or weapons-related offers.
• Interfering with the Service: scraping beyond ordinary browsing, manipulating click counts, bypassing rate limits, automated rank claims without my written permission, or reverse engineering except as allowed by mandatory law.

I may refuse, delay, edit, hide, or permanently remove any listing, rank, logo, or related page, with or without notice, including where I believe these Terms or the law may have been broken; where a rights holder or a platform complains; or where I think the listing creates legal, security, or reputational risk. Removal does not entitle you to a refund.

To run the board and the lid I display the site or handle you submit, the brand name you give (or the site or handle if you have none), the logo you upload, and a short line about the project. I use that material only to identify the listed product or profile on Rent My Lid, to print the lid, to show visitors where a paid ranking leads, and to operate, moderate, and improve the Service.

That display is meant only to identify the destination. I do not use your mark as my own brand, and I do not suggest sponsorship or endorsement by the rights holder unless you are that rights holder.

Rent My Lid, the wordmark, and the look of the Service are mine. You may not copy the Service, scrape the board for a competing ranking product, or use my brand in a way that suggests I endorse you. Apple, Stripe, and other third-party names remain their owners' property.

You grant me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, cache, reproduce, adapt (for sizing, formatting, print, and ranking display), and publicly display the listing, logo, brand name, and related materials, including on this site, on the lid, and in photos or video of the lid, for as long as needed to operate, promote, and keep an archive of the Service. You also grant visitors a right to see that listing on the Service. If you want a listing taken down, email hello@rentmylid.lol. Takedown does not undo a completed payment, and I may still need time to remove vinyl from a lid that is already printed.

If you believe a listing infringes your copyright, trademark, publicity, or other rights, or that a listed site is unlawful, email hello@rentmylid.lol with: (1) your name and contact details; (2) the listing on https://rentmylid.lol; (3) the destination URL or @handle; (4) a description of the problem; and (5) a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act. I may remove or restrict the listing while I review the notice. I may share the notice with the lister. Repeat or abusive notices may be ignored.

Appearance on the board or the lid is not my opinion of a product. I do not verify that listed companies, claims, prices, or results are true. Click or visitor counts describe what this site recorded. They are not a promise that you will get the same outcome. Your results depend on your rank, your destination, timing, where I work that month, what I film, and factors I do not control.

Links from the Service to listed sites or X profiles leave Rent My Lid. Those destinations have their own terms and practices. I am not responsible for them.

I provide the Service as-is. It may be unavailable, slow, or incorrect. I travel. The lid moves with me. I may change snapshot dates, batch length, minimums, or these Terms. If a change is material, I will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms. For a payment already completed, the Terms in effect at checkout still apply to that payment, except where a change is required by law or needed to address a security or legal risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement. I do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that listings, names, images, ranks, click counts, café visibility, or video appearances are accurate, complete, or will happen in any particular way.

I do not limit liability that applicable law says I cannot limit, including liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body, or health. Subject to that:

• I am not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, substitute services, or other indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
• My total liability for a claim relating to a payment is limited to the amount you paid me for the listing that the claim concerns.

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Brian from claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your listing, your destination site or profile, your payment or chargeback, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of someone else's rights. I may take over the defense of a claim. You will cooperate.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and the right to bring a claim in a court with jurisdiction over you still apply. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.

If a part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the invalid part is replaced by the valid term that comes closest to the original intent.

My failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without my consent. I may assign them in connection with a transfer of the Service.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the checkout details you confirm form the entire agreement for the Service. Payments, hosting, email, and file storage involve third parties, including Stripe. Their outages or decisions are outside my control.
